Despite a lifelong relationship with the Arts, winning several awards, and selling work internationally, I have always suffered from one of the most severe cases of imposter syndrome. Rarely will you hear me call myself an artist, instead, I am the maker of pretty and (sometimes) insane things.

As an instructor, I make a lot of traditional pottery that I sell at craft fairs and online (both wholesale and retail) but as the “maker of pretty and insane things” Like most makers or artists, my work changes with my mood. At times when I find myself in a dark place, I make things often inspired by nature with a whimsical spin- things that make me smile in hopes that it will do the same for someone else somewhere. At times when I need an escape, I bring things to life from this fantastical realm that I have created in my mind.

I believe in sustainability and ethical production practices. I strive to minimize my environmental impact by relying on my kiln as a primary source of heating during the winter months, using recycled packaging when shipping and recyclable, reusable packaging when selling in person. I support local communities through charitable works, fundraisers, donations, and helping new artists find their way in the arts through teaching and employing local artists. I also believe in creating beautiful and well crafted pieces that bring joy to my customers.
